Hollywood dropped "& for the American way" so it would appeal to American (hating) countries/audiences.

Maybe they realized that America isn't as great as Americans think it is, and that pretty much the entire rest of the world doesn't like America much? :-P

P.C.?
Politically Correct -- The act of using neutral/unoffensive words.
In light of this, I feel it's time to add a new rule. From now on, we cannot say the "A" word; it could offend someone.
It's just silly people could get offended by someone mentioning America.
The American Way owns you (big, ruthless bussiness)! OH SHIT, sorry, did I offend anyone? ;D
Anywho, I don't reckon I like this too much! Super Man is an American made, fictional icon -andI wouldnt be ashamed to say that.

Uhm, Superman is an American character that "lives" in America & has sad "& for the American way" for what...30 years?
& it changes just because the world doesnt like America?
Capitalism at its finest, betrayal (in a way) as well.
I guess, by supporting P.C. you MUST support EXTREME capitalism...I find that most PC people dont support capitalism so much, weird huh, left contradicting itself again. ::)
Even so, it was DAMN AMAZING.
Hey guess what, fuck.
And fuck being politically correct.
superman? fuck him too.
go america

"big, ruthless bussiness[sic]"? Ha! I want to see a country that actually runs on capitalism, that would be awesome :)
I don't like Superman. Red Superman was better (a series of comics where Superman landed in the USSR instead of America, and was called Stalin instead of Superman). Superman is not American, he is Kryptonian. Now, Captain America, he is American, even if he is a pussy weakling.

I'm not sure about Canada, but in the United States big bussiness and capitalism go hand-in-hand.

Not as much as they used to. If you don't believe me, read
The Jungle. :)

I'm not sure whether or not that's the source, but some of my friends were talking about a pure-capitalism society. No copyright laws or trademarks, and if you can afford to you can have somebody killed. Of course, if you have people killed, then others will probably have you killed. It sounded like an interesting concept.
But my point is, America is not a true capitalist (big "bussiness") country, just like Russia was never truly communist.
Well, America was founded more on the principles of Lockean liberalism than capitalism. The two are usually somewhat interchangeable because capitalism is typically seen as an extension of liberalism into the marketplace.
But in a purely liberal society, you couldn't kill someone if you could afford to have it done.
People do it all the time, Myndy.

I'd hire to have myself killed and ask for updates on the progress of finding me. I could stay one step ahead of them. 8)
Yes rabbit, but it's not legal. :P

You never said it had to be legal.

Unions! Anti-trust laws!
...maybe not a fall TO capitalism but a fall BECAUSE of capitalism
