Title: Driving to Mexico...
Post by: CrAz3D on June 29, 2006, 05:47:11 PM
Has anyone driven into Mexico before?  My mom mentioned to our neighbor that we (my friends & I) are going to Puerto Penasco.  Our neighbor said she had friends get in a fender bender there & then have their car impounded/GONE.  I'm thinkin its cause her friends didnt have Mexican insurance, but I don't know for sure.

Have any of you gone down into Mexico & have you had any problems?...

That little town area is Puerto Penasco (http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=31.313755,-113.518982&spn=0.292725,0.644073&t=h&om=1)...so I'm told.

Yes, a while back though. No problems. According to my Mexican teacher don't let them know you have money. Have like two wallets. When you get pulled over by cops, empty the decoy wallet (about $100~) and you're off the hook ;P.

Yes

& Ergot, cool, good idea.
But I'm thinkin maybe keep less in the wallet than $100.  I think you can bribe the cops for like $10 (depending on the offense)
