what happens to you when you take them?
what happens when you take them multiple times?
what happens to your body/mind when you take them regularly?

Crazed: these kind of things sort of grind me the wrong way... elaborate. Why?
The effects are obviously negative in a psychological and likely physical way.
He accidently ate one?
friends are starting it & I want to know how bad it is before trying to talk them out of fucking up their lives even more.
seriously, they're all kids from decent homes.....1 guy (who brought the other 3 along) has it the best & is gonna end up fucking up his life with drugs...its way sad

That sucks, CrAz3D. Just make sure to handle it in the least condescending way possible... that's probably your best bet.

hmm, so nothing overly bad & long term other than the memory or mental disorder thing?
the fear could be bad...another friend was telling them to make sure they had a sober person to calm down the people on shrooms when they freak.
my friends said that they & the other people they were going to smoke? with "decided" not to freak out or anything ::)....we laughed at her (the friend that said this).
seriously tho, my friends are all gonna end up in prisons. 1 friend has been busted for weed posession (<1 oz. so he's on probation I think technically), lives at home while waiting to move into new apartment & his parents are WAY anti-drug/stuff (which is odd that he was raied in a way that he's gotten into this...wrong "friends" I guess).
His mom is supposed to drug test him before he moves out.
question: do the drug tests @ like walgreens test specifically for 1 drug or do the singel tests say which drugs are in your system?
Crazed, the mainl drug test is for these 5 classes of drugs;
1. Cannabinoids (marijuana, hash)
2. Cocaine (cocaine, crack, benzoylecognine)
3. Amphetamines (amphetamines, methamphetamines, speed)
4. Opiates (heroin, opium, codeine, morphine)
5. Phencyclidine (PCP)
- Other drug testings are expensive and rarely tested for,
I don't do mushrooms but I know it's generally considerd a "soft" drug, generally safe.. just make sure you can handle seeing things that aren't really there.
Incidentally, shrooms were often used by shamanistic tribes as a way of inducing the spiritual quest men needed to have in order to become shamans, and once they were shamans, they used them to "commune with the earth."
On that note, I think that shamanistic religions are retarded, and your friends are worthless. :P

I would not trust information from erowid. It's basically what most drug users point to for the "unbiased" (positive/negative) information. I imagine if you read on crack you'll get an equal number of "positives" to negatives.

You can trust Erowid, it is ran by a comapany full time, and thier facts are well documented.

Well documented by an organization does not necessarilly make it true. Take the Bible, for example.

Lots of interesting info.......
ESPECIALLY THIS!QuoteIn the United States, possession of psilocybin-containing mushrooms is illegal because they contain the Schedule I drugs psilocin and psilocybin. Spores, however, which do not contain psychoactive chemicals, are only explicitly illegal in California, Idaho, and Georgia. In the state of Florida, fresh or unprepared psilocybin mushrooms that grow wild are legal to possess.
In all states, except possibly New Mexico, growing psilocybin-containing mushrooms from spores is considered manufacture of a controlled substance. In New Mexico, on June 15, 2005, the New Mexico appeals court ruled that growing psilocybin mushrooms for personal use is not manufacture of a controlled substance[READ!] (http://www.freenewmexican.com/news/29120.html).
That's interesting...you can grow them but not use them, hmm.......probably cant even posess them

That's because iago is Canadian and he doesn't trust me with money. And I don't want to pay the hundreds of dollars required for an NPO registration.

It is legal for members of some indian church to ingest peyote, which is like mushrooms. Unless your ready to claim you're taking shrooms for religious purposes, you'd have to goto Mexico, Europe, or Asia to do it legally.
Native American != Indian.

uhm, Native American = indian, too

(but I think its indian without a capital I)
The distinction around here is usually "Indian" (for natives) and "East Indian" (for people from India). And we have lots of both.
