The first one to IM me gets a winning code for a Pepsi Smash ringtone.

Cell phones are extremely useful and convenient? ...
I'm always at home, or by a pay-phone. I don't go out far.. :(

Well, I don't have a "craze" over cell phones, but I certainly appreciate what mine can do for me. It's a tool just like any other.
I hate all people who drive while talking, and I don't care if it's hands free. It's just the fact that they can't manage conversation and driving, it has nothing to do with not having enough hands on the wheel. And I'm starting to see more and more of it. I'm not saying it should be illegal, because I don't support intrusive laws, but really, it should be frowned upon at the very least. Like "OMG! SHE'S DRIVING WHILE ON THE PHONE! FUCKING WHORE! Honey, when you drive, I hope you're more responsible than that." "kk mom."

My cell phone is cheaper than a land line would be and infinitely more convenient...

And this is why using ambiguous internet abbreviations are dangerous: they have the potential to make you look like an idiot. ::)

Edit: lol Sidoh, using internet acronyms does not make you look like an idiot!

I <3 you.
First of all, by craze I meant everyone having them and seeming to be attached to them at all times.
I have no doubt they are useful and convenient, but why do most people seem to have it permanently attached to their ears? Put the cell phone down when you are at home or driving a vehicle. For example, even when my sister is in the house (which has a phone line), she's on her cell phone. All her friends know the phone number for the house, so there really is no reason to be using that cell phone which costs more than a standard phone, I think.
I have a cell phone my dad gave me; it's one of the big bag ones. I leave it in my car and use it for emergencies only, which is the only reason I need one. If I wanted to talk to anyone that badly, I'd call him/her when I got home or from a payphone.

Isn't the answer deductively obvious? They don't realize the potential danger they're subjecting themselves and their surrounding peers to, or they value immediate entertainment over ridding themselves of the higher possibility of disaster.
