Title: Intel, AMD, graphics card drivers, open-source
Post by: Newby on August 09, 2006, 08:48:48 PM
AMD considers open-sourcing a few functions in ATi graphics card drivers (http://www.infoworld.com/article/06/08/02/32OPcurve_1.html), and Intel does open-source their graphics card drivers. (http://developers.slashdot.org/developers/06/08/09/2134254.shtml).

Fucking hooray. Maybe ATi graphics card drivers will be useful for once! >:D

And if they start becomnig useful, Intel may have a run for its money. :P

This is excellent.  Once one big company does it, the rest will probably be compelled to follow.
