Title: WoW Account
Post by: Furious on September 10, 2006, 05:29:00 PM
If anyone is interested in using mine, let me know.  I don't play often but I do get on every once in awhile, so this offer is to anyone who can't pay for a subscription and would like to play.

General Guidelines:

Don't f*ck with my password.
Don't delete my sh*t.

And on a side note, I know this against Blizzard's TOS, so moderators delete the thread if needed.

Those are the Blizzard terms of service, not ours.  Feel free to break them all you want, but know you're taking the risk of a blizzard bot finding your post.  I don't really think it matters, but I wouldn't make the offer public.  Delete the post yourself if you don't want to deal with it (if you're not able to, let me know).

It may be "public", but I am really only offering it to people I know I can trust.  I may delete the post later tonight if nobody seems interested and just let a friend or someone play.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but you posted the offer on public domain.  That's what I'm saying.  It's fully possible for Blizzard to stumble upon it.  I appreciate the offer (assuming it was extended to me), but I quit WoW...

I found WoW entertaining for a little while, but I get bored easily in RPG's, I moved on to playing more CS and BF2 :/

I would love to try WoW, but I seriously doubt I'd be able to run it smoothly on a 16 MB gfx card.

I would also love for someone to tell me otherwise..

I don't think it would run at all, unfortunately. :(

Note, I ran WoW rather well on a 8MB integrated graphics card. If you have broadband it's definately worth a shot (download is huge, and your only other option is CDs). Apparently my graphics card was set to use 1MB shared for a while but I fail to believe that.

If by "Rather well" you mean a fourth of a frame a second, then sure.  Playing a game is only fun if it works in real time...

I got around 4-5 FPS, up to 10 in low traffic / short terrain distance areas (SM hallways, for example). Sure, it's horrible now, but looking back and not having experiened anything better, it was rather good.

Do you have WoW installed, or have the ability to install it?

I don't find it that entertaining, not really "giving up".

You're what, 36? You just hit a content gap. Keep grinding to 40 (the elementals in arathi will do the trick) and then it'll be entertaining again! :)

Yes, I do have WoW installed and my own account, I just want to try somebody else's char. :)

Grind the farm in Arathi.  Those mobs are easy mode.

I don't know if you got the PM I sent, but I'd be interested in occasionally playing, possibly once a week or so when I have nothing else to do.
