I saw an article about how Mac's run hot using Vista which is whimpy because i saw a Mac running Vista fry a 300 GB external HDD. Oh but wait, who would have thought it was the USB hub on that brand new MacBook Pro running Vista...gg second external.
If they were going to put Vista on a mac, why did they buy a mac?

Because Macs run Intel chipsets now, and from what I've heard, Mac hardware kicks the shit out of most other vendors when running Windows.

Ooh yeah, that's right. I complete forgot about their switch over.
gg running a beta OS on a macintrash that doesn't support it. God who'da thought that running a beta OS on a platform that doesn't FULLY SUPPORT it would result in tragedy? It's like saying "hey look what happens when I jump in my bathtub with a toaster plugged into an outlet!" It's not fucking documented that you should not do that because it's dangerous, but it's implied through common sense. Totally terrible example, and you probably don't get an idea, but I have a habit of making stupid comparisons.

LOL
SCREENSHOT OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!
You seriously think that it's Vista's fault that the harddrive overheated? Please tell me you don't. It's either the manufacturer's fault for not having proper ventaliation, or the user's fault for blocking it.

Actually, if it's consistent across multiple macintosh computers running the x86 architecture, I blame Vista.

Unless it's consistent across the same hardware of multiple macintrash computers. It couldn't be something to rule Vista out of, but if 20 computers with no fans and no water cooling overheat, even though they all have the same hardware, is it Vista's fault? Of course not. It's poor design.
the HDD didnt over heat, the system board in the external died after being plugged into a Mac x2
ONLY POSSIBLE CONCLUSION:
MAC
FUCKING
SUCKS

Fixed. Both of my pre-redesign iMacs have been and still are serving me quite well.
