4! = 24
what?...
obviously 4 is not 24
4!, oh.
What is the "!"?...like whats that mean?
4! = 4*3*2*1, but the 1 doesn't matter.
2/3 * (4*3*2) = 16 :-\
Congrats Joe! Now go get a job.

I think they're called factorials.
I was going to say permutations but I think dd is right. Thanks Blazed!

Permutation is something you do with discrete mathematics, ie sets... factorials are (primarily) used in statistics. I'm not sure how you'd confuse them. ;)
Also, happy birthday. :P
Happy b to the day Joe!

The formula for the number of permutations a set has involves factorials. I know that in school we learned about factorials/permutations/combinations together, so it's easy to mix them up if you don't use them.
And yes, Happy Birthday.
Why does almost everyone refer to me as "Blazed"? I'm not Gamesnake!

Exactly. PS, thanks.
@Blaze: It's fun. :)
Going out to eat Jap food with teh family. I now have $85 in cash, ten owed from the parents (I forwarded (endorsed, whatever) two of my checks to them, so they gave me cash and ran out) and apparently more in the mail, so purchase of a low-end laptop is imminent. :)

Oh, yeah, but I still don't think I could mix them up. :)
I'm sure there are equally dumb things that I do, though... :P

And now that you've pointed that out, everybody is going to say it! Way to go!

Oh... sorry about that... Blaze....d.
Haha. I know your name as "Blaze." I'd articulate it as "Blaze," but I don't doubt that I've mistyped it as "Blazed" a few times.

I'd change my name if you weren't so against that.
