Title: Microsoft Zune - $249 on November 14th

Same price as the crap iPod. I guess they really aren't thinking things through, or they're going to rely on its not-so-great features (wireless, FM tuner, cheaper songs in the store, and that stream everything for $15/mo (15?!?!?!)).

I expect the Zune to bomb. Or me installing Linux on it. :P

And incidentally, watch out for Zune's DRM (http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/09/15/1627248) -- Unless they've changed it, songs that are released under the Creative Commons license can't legally be used on Zune.  I mean, who would expect people to actually put free music on their portable sound system?

If you were to go to your local Apple Store just after Steve Jobs dropped the 60 GB iPod Video from their line you could pick one up for $250 while supplies lasted.

What do you mean "dropped?"  Released?  I'm pretty sure the 60 GB iPods were released at $400 and from a quick glance on froogle, new 60 GB iPods still seem to be $310 - $400.

They have removed the 60 GB iPod from their line.  So they were selling off thier inventory for cheap at the Apple Store here in Boston $250 like I said.  Unfortunately, when I got their the black iPod's had already sold out, so I got a white one instead.

During a conference in France (I think?).  Anyways go to Apple.com and you will notice only the 30GB and the 80GB.

I knew it was dropped, I was looking more for a relative date. We had an Apple Store put in about 3 weeks ago and I've been there a number of times (including the day after it opened) but I didn't notice a discounted ipod.

Because they all sold out in 13.4 seconds.

I don't expect it to bomb at all.
