Title: Spirited Energy...
Post by: Killer360 on October 14, 2006, 09:54:52 PM
What a fucking waste. (http://www.cbc.ca/canada/manitoba/story/2006/06/15/mb-spirited-energy-20060615.html)

Seriously, who would spend that amount of money for a two word slogan?  :D

Do you agree, iago?

QuoteRobert Ziegler, who co-chairs the group behind the campaign, said it's going to take a lot more than $2.1 million to accomplish the goal of raising Manitoba's profile locally and elsewhere.

"If you look at Saskatchewan, they've spent $14 million for their campaign. Montreal has a budget of $23 million for that," he said.

Are those millions actually working? Saskatchewan and Montreal don't seem to have that much of a higher profile than Manitoba.

We had a similar situation here.  I don't remember the exact costs but it was quite a bit to make the slogan Massachusetts - Make It Yours.
