I originally got it and there were only 6 kids from my school. Then, I realized, "I'M ALMOST A WHORE" and deleted it. :(

This was almost a year ago.

I would like to thank God at a time like this, while his actions were subtle and efficient in bringing an end to MySpace, I would have rather seen people start getting struck down with lightning bolts for having MySpace.

I think myspace is poorly managed.  It doesn't work correctly half the time.  It's a common thing to see "Request did not go through, a problem report was sent to the Technical group" or some garbage like that.  I have no idea how it got so popular in the first place.  Anyways, I wanted to post my own analysis on comparisons between Myspace and similar networks that use Windows versus other social networks that use Linux and other Unix variants ... unfortunately I could not get ahold of any interesting numbers.  I think it is murder that Myspace would host something with such high load on Windows 2003.  While Windows has its uses in some web applications (like credit card processing), I think it is a poor choice for heavy load applications, Windows is not generally associated with high performance computing ... and well, for something as simple as myspace, a cinder block or UNIX, suffices quite well (not that being a cinder block is a bad thing!).

The only way to fight it is to not use it.  Especially don't have an account.  Double especially don't have an account with 109 friends!

Who wants to start a website community targeted at fresh-out-of-college interns?  It may not be popular now, but in four years when all the kids who went to myspace in highschool, to facebook in college need a place to network we'll be in business!
