Title: Cornstalk Error
Post by: iago on November 07, 2006, 03:27:24 PM
I went with my friend on a service call yesterday.  This lady was annoyed and frustrated because her computer kept having "cornstalk" errors.  Apparently, in her brain, kernel is a cornstalk.. :)

Mistakes like that are nothing to laugh at!  For example, up until a few months ago I always thought winsock was something they used at old airports to tell which way the wind was blowing...

You'd be close, since there are windsocks there.

However, there's nothing resembling a cornstalk in the computer.

Also, my friend said he corrected her many times, but she hasn't learned.  That's a good reason to make fun!
