Title: New PC.
Post by: Killer360 on December 22, 2006, 06:31:57 PM
So I'm building my new computer...

I have these two parts so far:

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=18466&vpn=ADA3500CNBOX&manufacture=AMD&promoid=1020)
Mobo (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=18778&vpn=M2NPV-VM&manufacture=ASUS)

Now I need advice for the remaining parts (Ram, Case, etc.)

I have drives and such here.

This is the first computer I've ever attempted to build, so any advice would help. :)

BTW, if you're wondering why I'm getting a mobo with onboard video it's because I want to get a better video card later on.

I live in Canada. Newegg isn't an option.  :(

It will either have to be www.ncix.com or www.tigerdirect.ca

Well, I intend to play BF2 when I get around to buying a new GFX card. Other from that, just regular usage.

Newegg doesnt ship internationally?

My friend is rebuilding his.
AMD 64 X2 4100?+.  Decent mobo w/3 pci express ports so he can do a good vid card & tv tuner I believe.  This is his graduation present
His Christmas present is a 24" widescreen monitor.

Apple makes upto 32".... :Q_

Anyway, as for a case, just get anything that will fit the mobo.
