Title: Favorite drinks + recipes.
Post by: leet_muffin on December 29, 2006, 11:25:55 PM
I have two favorites. One has been a long time favorite:
Mojito:
2 ounces of rum, perferrably something light, such as Bacardi
1 ounce of lime juice
2 teaspoons of sugar
1 good pinch of mint
Some people add soda water, I don't, so I'm not sure how much.

and one a newly acquired favorite (as I was in Mexico and had the ability to try several drinks (drinking laws down there rule)):
Golden Cadillac:
1 ounce Galliano   (Galliano is a herbal Italian liqueur, heavy in licorice and vanilla, very good on a sour stomach)
2 ounces creme de cacao
1 ounce cream

I appriciate all ideas posted, and will work to try them as quickly as I can.

Tequila Sunrise:

Tequila
Orange Juice
Grenadine

A personal favorite, JAGER BOMB!

Take a shot of jager and drop it in a cup of red bull. drink quickly. repeat. A night of lost memories and good smelling breath will ensue.

Um.

Blue Margarita. I don't remember why it's blue, but my mom makes them sometimes and they're good.

Isn't that a gay drink? lol

Anyway:

1 part Everclear
2 parts your favorite soda
1 part Red Bull

Never fails.

Isn't spiking Red Bull with alcohol supposed to be deadly?  I thought I remembered some guy I knew in my childhood (or someone I knew knew him or something like that) who died from doing that.  Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly or the doctor who diagnosed him was an idiot, though.

It might be deadly if you drink too many of them, but I've had a few friends try it (I hate RedBull).

My preferences are usually quite simple.
-Jack...on the rocks, I need to try Maker's.
-Beer (usually dark)...drinking Keystone should be a felony.
-Strawberry Daiquiri...yes, I know, woman's drink.  But its damn good so STFU.

I've tried:
-Irish car bomb (shot of Bailey's dropped (with glass) into full glass of Guiness)...Guiness being disgusting in its own way.  Must drink before it curdles :(
-Tequillia Sunrise (good-ish)
-Miami Vice (.5 tequilla sunrise & .5 strawberry daiquiri)
-Margaritas (I dont know, I hate it, nasty burn in hell you stupid drink)
****ADIOS MOTHER FUCKER!:  No idea what was in it, Google it?...but it was awesome & just a combination of booze

PAINKILLER:
1 part dark rum (150-ish proof works nice)
1 part light rum (Cruzan coconut, for example)
1/2 part mango juice
4 ice cubes
some fresh ground ginger on top

I wasn't aware drinks could be gay?

It's a good drink, and probably tastes a bit better than:

And by the way, Everclear = illegal in California. =(. I've had some before, at my cousin's, and welll.... too bad it's illegal!

Mojitos are good.  If you won't drink something because it's "gay" despite it being a really good drink, then, well....you're a fuckhole.

'Gay' drinks are usually better tasting so who cares?
Title: Re: Favorite drinks + recipes.

It isnt a "gay" drink, its a woman's drink that makes you look gay if you're a dude drinking it (but they're DAMN good).

Everclear is illegal in California?  Crazy commies.

I never said I wouldn't drink it. It is just that I haven't ever tried it, and I remember it being said somewhere on TV that it was mainly a drink consumed by gay people. I think it was Family Guy...

I read up some on it and it's supposed to be really smooth and have like honey or something in it too. It was aged two years in barrels that housed bourbon, so I guess there's those flavors too. I'm kind of excited to try it.

Why would you waste perfectly good chocolate syrup by mixing it with milk?  ???

Hrmm... favorite drink.  Well, Dr. Pepper is awesome, but I actually like mixing Dr. Pepper and Coca-Cola in equal parts :).

But honestly, if you have had enough beer you don't care!

Generally, I like sticking to beer. If I do end up drinking liquor, I either go Whiskey, and drink it with just dr pepper. If I get Vodka I like to mix it with dr pepper also, but other alternatives are orange juice or some sort of energy drink. If it's liquor though I usually just do shots. I haven't had mixed drinks in a long time. Maybe since high school. :P

If you just want to get drunk, shots are the way to go. If you want to chill, mixed drinks/beer are better :)

no, really?  LIES!  ::)

There is some beer you'd ONLY use to play games & get drunk (i.e. Keystone Light), you don't want to actually taste that crap, just down it and keep going.

I had a weird shot today, it was called a "Choclote birthday cake shot"
It had:
Lemon slice covered in sugar
.5 shot -- Hazel nut liquore
.5 shot -- citrus vodka
What you did was you whould bight the lemon, and suck for like two seconds, then take it outa your mouth and take the shot.
It's weird, but it tastes like choclote cake, actually. Try it.

True that. Last night I drank mostly beer, except for the Hypnotiq, rum, and champagne. Unlike with the jagerbombs I was actually able to comprehend what was going on and remember everything and it was just pretty chill. I didn't fully care about what was going on, but I knew it was occurring.

Dr Pepper is horrible...I'd rather drink straight whiskey (which I do, yum)!
