I'm thinking of selling of laptop, a Dell Inspiron 8100.
But, I don't know how much, reasonably, would go for on eBay.

512 RAM
40 GB HDD (just bought several months ago and the warranty is still valid for a couple years)
15.4" LCD SXGA+
16 or 32 MB NVIDIA Geforce Go2
DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
ESS Maestro 3 Sound card
No internal network card
Comes with:
-Docking station
-Genuine Windows 2000
-Logitech Speakers [value of $15]
-Nice laptop case
Problems:
-Dead pixels [very few]
-Battery life is only about 20 minutes
If you need any other information... feel free to ask.
Haha, sucka. My GeForce2 Go apparently has 64MB of memory. :)
My nVidia Quadro NVS is 512mb, suckas.
My friend has 1 GB of video memory (two 7800 GTX's on SLI). ;p
AWESOME!
But, how much do you think my laptop is worth? $300? $400?

I don't know... $400 seems reasonable, but I don't know. I'm not into used laptops.

Probably no more than $150-$200, considering you can get decent new laptops for $400.

On a laptop? WTF?
I don't know much about SLI.. is it limited to two cards? An even number? A base of two?

SLI is two cards. There are similar technologies that have (somewhat) recently been released by nvidia to link together four cards. I'm not sure if it's under the name SLI, but I sort of doubt it has the exact same name.
Quad SLI.

Unfortunately, the Quad SLI implementation as it has been done so far does not actually link together four physical cards - rather, it links together four physical GPUs, two of which are present in the NVidia GeForce 7950 chipset.
The primary drawback to this is, of course, bandwidth. Using four GPUs across two cards, or two GPUs in one card, requires double the bandwidth to push data down the pipe.
I'm considering buying another 8800 GTX when I've got some extra cash laying around and there are drivers for it. I hate NVidia right now because the only DX10-compatible card on the market, the 8800, does NOT HAVE DRIVERS FOR VISTA. UGH. Then I'll do dual-SLI.
