Title: Pictures of new apartment
Post by: iago on February 08, 2007, 10:24:07 PM
I took a lot of pictures, a lot more than I figured. A lot of them were for my mom, though, she'll care even though none of you likely will :P

Anyway, here they are:

Over friendly shower curtains? Are you expecting to have company in the bathroom while you shower?
And that TV stand doesn't look very... safe... Take a picture when it collapses :D!

When I say "over friendly", I mean like, they want to "be with me". If you know what I mean. A little too touchy-feely.

The stand is actually remarkably stable, I have complete faith in it. Plus, it's not a very big tv :P

I uploaded one more picture, of my bedroom window. In case anybody questions the size of it :)

The bedroom window faces west. The balcony faces south.

Yeah, it's smallish, 550sqft. And it's $900/month.

It's also in downtown Calgary, Calgary being the third-most expensive city in Canada. So that's a pretty average price. Plus, it's a nice clean building.

(in case anybody cares, the address is:
223 14 ave SW, Calgary, AB

And I work at:
100 4 ave SW, Calgary, AB

It's a 1.3km walk, which I easily do in about 20 mins :)

What about in the snow?

What's wrong with snow? I walk through snow all the time.

Calgary has a milder climate than Winnipeg, since there's mountains nearby which regulate the temperature, or something. Plus, there's in-door walkways covering a good chunk of down-town if it was really that horrible out.

Looks good although it could be filled with more furniture.... The Tv stand  brings out the white trim so it looks good. dont know about performance wise...  Electric stove is also a plus cause i think electric is cheaper than gas.  all in all you found yourself a pretty nice place.

I was wondering who'd mention that first! It wasn't intentional, but I noticed it as soon as I cut it and laughed :)

I know exactly what you mean by the shower curtain being too friendly :D. Very nice apartment, you should be happy living in it.
