I'll ignore the fact that neither of those bands is remotely grindcore, but I strongly feel the need to comment on this. I'll start with a story:

Once upon I time I went to see a Dragonforce concert. The first opening band sucked so I mulled around the venue a bit. Then I went back to see this band called "horse the band" play, as I had never heard of them. The guys got up on stage and didn't look like an emocore band so I stuck around as they proceeded to play. I soon gouged my ears out. The end.

Horse the band is the single worst band that I have ever had the displeasure of sitting through live, and living in massachusetts, I have sat through hundreds of shitty *-core bands. The musicianship sucks, the songwriting sucks, their stage presence is terrible, and the vocalist rambles on about nothing like a douchebag. If anyone was actually going to take his advice and even think of looking for their music to download I strongly advise agaist it. Your ears will thank me! :)

On topic:
I downloaded a tristania CD once a long time ago, it was ok for what it is, but not really kind of music. The chick is pretty hot though.

Horse the band has to be the best band I have ever had the honor to listen to. They sing about all my Favorite things. Like masterbation and Megaman. I have never seen them live so I cant talk about stage presence. As for bury your dead go listent to them agian.

Dude...

Anyways, I'd recommend listening to more of their songs and for a little while longer. Widow's Weeds is my favorite album.

Horse the Band.  It's what you get when you put a Super Nintendo song composer in a room full of crappy musicians.

Example:

Oh, I see what you did there.  You invalidly objectified the assertion that I'm awful.  You clever devil.

Get the fuck out :P. Get a better quality version of the song and ignore the vocals, you would probably like it.

Yeah man, I'm going to have to go out on a limb with Sidoh here, but that band sucks.

Anyways, BACK TO TRISTANIA.

Shoulda posted this in my forum so I could trash these irrelevant posts.

We should all remember that just because something is metal, doesn't make it exempt from being bad.

That may be true, but vocals are too strongly present to be ignored in most music.  I might as well like caviare because I ignore its taste.

HOW CAN U GUYS NOT LIKE TRISTANIA?

Take this song for example:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Wx-BlEd3wIo

It is a tragedy ON PAR with the tragedy of Achilles... a tragedy as aptly told.

Better than that piece of shit metal some posts above this. In fact, this Tristania song perfectly describes Towelie's metalshit music.

(lol no offense towelie <3)

That's awesome =) Yeah I'll get around to sending you a RAR sometime... too busy now. And yeah, the AMV is unfortunate, I don't like them either. The one good thing about them is that since they suck, and no one watches them, you don't have to worry about spoiling a good movie or something, you know?

AMVs tend to suck, with very few exceptions.  Mostly because they have "Breaking the Habit" as the song.  And if it's not that, there's a 90% chance it's some other Linkin Park song, a 5% chance it's some other stupid song, 4% it's a good song poorly sync'd/with a bad show, and 1% chance a good song sync'd well/with a good show.  All-in-all, AMVHell 3 (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2475607463593658516&q=amvhell+3&total=490&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0) is the best, and by far longest (1 hour, 9 minutes) AMV I've ever seen.  It's not just 1 song, mind you, it's about 210.

Fixed numbers :X

Ender, since tristania has such a depressing sound, I feel that you need to be cheered up. But it must be done in a sufficiently metal way. Thus, I present to you, Power Quest:

Power Quest was around first, though it did origianally have one of the guitarists and the vocalist from dragonforce in it. I actually like Power Quest a lot more, much more melody and less sloppy all around than Dragonforce :)

I'll have to check them out sometime.  Thanks.
