I heard they're making this into a movie. With any luck, it'll be good.
Any thoughts on it? Did you like the books? Do you think the movie will be good, and why?
Awesome! His Dark Materials was a great book series--one of my favorite.
I've found it rare that someone enjoys a movie based on a book if they've read the book beforehand. The reasons for this are obvious (preconceptions from the book, etc). I hope it'll be a good movie, though!
If it's done right, it'll be amazing. I really hope it gets a good writer and a good director.
