I'm thinking of buying this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001087
I've never bought a LCD monitor before so, I'm not quite sure if good or not. I don't want to end up returning and/or replacing it.
Comments?
Thanks for any input:)
That's a pretty nice one, I got this (http://www.samsung.com/Products/Monitor/LCD_Digital/LS19MEWSFXAA.asp?page=Specifications) monitor x2 the other month and I'm loving it. Your monitor is a little slower refresh (4ms), less of a contrast ratio (1300) but is 1 inch larger with an adjustable height. Still a pretty good choice. Sidoh probably knows more then I do about LCD so you should probably ask him.
I see.
I might buy this one instead then: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=204021908&loc=101
One thing I don't understand why it's only $10 more than the 204BW? The 206BW is the same as the 204BW except it has a 2ms (instead of 6ms) refresh time, 800:1 (instead of 700:1) contrast ratio, and 16.7 (instead of 16.2)million colours. Am I missing something here?
Samsung LCD's are of great quality, so either way you'll be happy I'm sure.
I have a Samsung LCD TV and it's great.

I went ahead and purchased the Samsung 206BW from Buy.com.
It'll be here in 7 to 9 days. >:(

I'm not sure why that is, either. When I was still selling TVs and stuff at Sears, I noticed that the previous year's model of a TV would be priced more than the model after it. I asked other sales associates why that was, but they failed to tell me why.

I've heard Samsung monitors have the best picture quality (I think unTactical mentioned it in some other thread). I've had great experience with 19" ViewSonic and Samsung monitors. I'd highly recommend both brands.

I'll second your opinion of ViewSonic. Great monitor++
I like the picture on Sonys and Apples. My brother has a 22" for viewing movies and such on it.
I'm glad this thread was made, I'll be buying this (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1152837304703&type=product) from a guy locally for $300 ( used ~2-3 months ).

Wow, nice.
On a side note, Buy.com didn't have the monitor I bought in stock. So I have to wait a while (2-3 days?) before it actually ships, then another 7-9 days before I get it! Awesome! >:(
Picked up one from BestBuy today:

How is it? Any ghosting? Any bleeding?
I might have to cancel my order from Buy.com (has yet to leave their warehouse. It's beginning to seriously annoy me) and settle for the 204B.

No ghosting, no bleeding - it's a great monitor. From what I've read the only downfall is the price ( low-mid 300s with tax ).
GOODNESS.
On an email Buy.com sent me, they specficially said they would not charge my card until my package has entered the shipping stage so I can easily cancel my order because of the backorder delay. I checked my online banking... they charged me so I can't cancel my order until I recieve my package. The thing is, my order HASN'T shipped yet, according to the order status on my account page. I emailed them asking what the heck was going on last thursday. On their support page, they said they would reply within 10 hours on a business day. Ummm... I haven't got any email from them? I called them. They were closed. At 6'oclock. The heck?
I'm getting annoyed.
Buy.com sucks.

Sucky. :(
I got my monitor yesterday. It's amazing. I didn't quite realize how big 20" really is. No bleeding, no ghosting, no dead pixels, DVI & VGA connection, and best of all, it's a Samsung!
Watching T.V. shows on this thing is great.

;) Yeah, 20" is bigger then I had thought too. Great monitor, I love it.
