From what I have seen, they are pretty much exactly the same thing as far as features go. uTorrent is quite a bit lighter on system resources though.

I downloaded an episode of Rome from Demonoid. It was being watched by some security firm that's employed by HBO, and they sent a letter to my ISP. My ISP emailed my mom and we basically just had to delete the file.

I used uTorrent, mainly because it's ridiculously small and my shitty computer can handle it.

Azureus is written in Java. Only use it if you don't have an OS-native version easily available (aka, Linux).

For Windows, I suggest uTorrent.

There are lots of native linux torrent clients.  Look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_BitTorrent_software

I use Azureus because it is the pwn.  One of two Java programs I use.  (Guess the other?)

Yeah, I use Azureus regardless of platform.  I'm not sure how it compares to some of the other ones (I have used μTorrent, but I didn't find a reason to use it over Azureus), but it does everything I need.

The only other Java program that I use regularly is Zend Studio.  I've been using vim over it for a while, but that's probably because I haven't had any large-scale PHP projects in a while.

Azureus is the best. Even though it is the only one I have ever tried... :) I recommend it since I haven't had any problems with it, except issues with my computer-- but that has nothing to do with Azureus. It has a nice looking interface and all the options I will ever need and it doesn't slow my computer down at all

ctorrent upgraded to Enhanced ctorrent (http://www.rahul.net/dholmes/ctorrent/).  Good for putting in a screen and forgetting about.  :)
