contemporary political theory class.
I think I want to try and tie Justice Scalia's opinions & judicial theories into contemporary political theory and how that has an impact on the 'evolution' of human rights in our country.
...that sounds too convoluted for a thesis statement though.
...maybe "How Justice Scalia's judicial conservativism effects the evolution of human rights in America"?
also, should I maybe throw a bit of other judicial philosophies (stuff I've read about scalia already has it and tears it apart ;)) & how those philosophies ought not work within our Constitution to grant these new rights that are being created?
"Why democracy sucks"
"The problems caused by capitalism"
On the second, The Tragedy of the Commons is a great paper to read/reference. Everybody living in a capitalist world should read it.
"Why breaking the law to drink when you're under the legal age is okay, but robbing a bank isn't."
hmm, ideas:
1. Why Apple will take over the world.
2. How Linux helps prevent cancer.
3. Why the Middle East is so f'ed up.
4. An answer to the question: "WTF is G.W. Bush president?"
6. An answer to the question: "WTF is going through Kim Jong-Il's head?"
7. JFK conspiracy theory.
8. 9/11 conspiracy theory.
I should've been more clear...
Its gonna have Scalia & it has to relate to contemporary political theory.....
