I highly doubt it. What are the chances that a large amount of people are going to be trying to cross the Atlantic with google maps? Their April Fools joke is going to be alot better than that, they always just have little clever or witty random things spread throughout to show they are a fun company for the people.

What are the chances that people are going to be viewing Area 51 on Google Earth? Probably pretty small, but when you have a user base as large as theirs, small chances don't make much of a difference.
But yeah, I guess it seems pretty insignificant compared to their past stuff, but I can still see how it would be an April Fool's joke. :P
