On Friday I bought myself a new laptop:
Intel Centrino - Pentium M 1.5ghz processor (equivolant to a P4 2.8)
512 MB ram
32 MB Radeon 9200 Mobility video
DVD +RW
battery lasts about 4.5 hours
Wide screen
Integrated wireless
Overall, it's very sexy.

You stole it! Bah!

My other laptop is AMD, but they run too hot. I prefer a laptop that stays cool.

Base cost was cdn$1999. I paid the cdn$350 for 3 years warrenty, plus 14% sales tax here, equals cdn$2750.

Yeah, the Centrino chip is really nice. System runs extremely smooth and everything!
-
First of all, Centrino isn't a chip, it's a model. The chip is a Pentium M.
Secondly, Centrino isn't designed to run fast or smooth, it's designed to run low power and, therefore, be cool and have low battery consumption.
