Well it's been a couple years since I've been in a clan or "community" and here I am deciding that I think this is the place I want to be. With that said, I'm glad to talk to a lot of old and good friends in here that I lost in contact with for a while there, but things happen. :-/
So now, officially, I'm expressing my interest in joining x86! :-D

Since this will be my first vote on a new member, I don't think I know you enough to really say yes/no. And I think it's the same for most of us (minus the first vote part).

You should PM/AIM members you don't know; it works wonders in winning votes. (For instance, had I done that, I would have surely gotten in unanimously.)

I understood that much. What I assumed that would mean for you is: "Get to know us better." You claim many people here know you, but so far none of them have been outspoken about it.

Seriously, though, I think you'd make a nice addition, Baroness. Maybe you should stick around and get to know some of the people who weren't very involved with the x86 battle.net community.

Baroness, I know I am not alone when I say that I really have no idea who you are. It would probably be in your best interest to try and either get to know everyone soon and take your chances with a vote, or postpone your application and try again when you feel like you have a good base of friends here. If you really want to join then taking a little time isn't going to hurt anything. It's not like we are going anywhere. :)

That's a hasty assumption (ignoring the poke at Newby) -- 5 - 10% of males are homosexual, according to various studies (source (http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/478685.html)), and there are 27 members in the clan. That means that, statistically, there should be about 1 - 3 homosexuals here. And note that a lot of members (the majority, maybe?) don't talk about their personal life a lot. So you never know! :P
(and no, I'm not trying to start a witch hunt. :) )

As far as getting to know the people I don't know, I could do that :P The people that know me were from xL, shoulda cleared that up a bit ago ^_^

I don't really feel the need to prove myself for what gender I am, and it shouldn't be considered on my gender if I get in or not (nor do I want it to be). I'm content with the "getting to know the people better" bit, since that's really the most logical and fair output I've seen.
