After taking some suggestions from Towelie, iago, and Sidoh in my previous post, I've made a new sig.
I've made this one smaller and I've used more of photoshop's features.

A bit better?
:)

Looks much better, but inversion doesn't always work well on pictures. Try some other effects! :D

May be a tad too big, but I think you get the idea. :P

Not bad!
I usually get all my aircraft photos from airliners.net -- they have some really nice ones and they don't have all the copyright notices crap all over the image. :D
I could have made the GIF have more images in it, but the more the images, the larger the file gets. :(

I got mine from Wikipedia's Featured Pictures (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Featured_pictures/Aeronautics_and_Aviation) gallery on Aeronautics & Aviation. There aren't any watermarks on those pictures.

try making a background using brushes and effects only, like my sig :)

You forgot the part where you read a tutorial... ;)

I'll try that next time. I mainly wanted one effect for this sig. :)
@Sidoh: :D

brushing is easy :-/ I only glanced over a tutorial to give me a bit of inspiration for the last one, but tutorials are great to learn effects!
