Yeah, between you all you hit both points.
Carpe Diem is pronounced exactly the same, and means "seize the day", which can also mean "Seize the DM".
So it's a pun, and a funny line at the same time. :)

Incidentally, if anybody doesn't know what either "carpe diem" or "dm" means, then they wouldn't have found it funny. Anybody who was well experienced with both phrases would enjoy it. That's pretty much how this joke pans out.
But I still don't think that personally considering it funny is "strong".

Yeah. I told Sidoh a joke to see how he'd react, added a "Don't tell anyone!" to make it look authentic, and apparently he told everyone and you all believed it. I laughed. :)
Kaleeko and I are still friends, of course, and I talk to her pretty often. I still hit on her a lot from force of habit, but I never really go out of my way anymore.
And besides, what does any of that have to do with me making a pun? :P
