General Discussion / Re: Seeking legal advice..

I have enough points on my license that it'll be suspended if I do.

Not to mention I don't like handing out $198.60 for something I didn't really do.

$198.60 for a speeding ticket...I wished I lived there.  I paid $300 for my last speeding ticket, as well as $285 for my last five 'loud exhaust' tickets

the ladder bit, for example, no longer indicates ladder characters.

Works fine for me?

Search over on vL, there was a big thread about the statstring format.  Otherwise Spht or iago should have a pretty complete format for the statstrings.

can be rejecting it if you're trying to set profile\sex on certain products, iirc

Botdev / Re: Lockdown

Just a note:
Lockdown is completely possible to do in Java ;)
But its not working yet.
~Hdx

Dumping StarCraft's RAM image to a file is cheating, results in massive "hash files", and will be broken as soon as someone implements it and Blizzard changes lockdown to hash the location it loaded itself into memory as well.

Just sayin'. :P

Dumping the "RAM image" is rather useless.  You just need to hash the three versioncheck files using a generated key from the server as well as a hash calculated off of the game's DirectX video buffer.

The whole idea behind lockdown isn't that complicated.  The only hack it checks for is pplug114.bwl (by trying to get the base address of it), but then again if you have a hack loaded, it probably modified the game's memory which is put through hash (not the actual files on disk, once again, it gets the base address of the files loaded).  Just finding exactly what it hashes is the hard part.

It is easier to write your own implementation than to write a workaround for loading Blizzard's version

What's the point?  That guy should have just used the existing BotNet and did half the amount of work necessary to achieve Cele's goal.

Believe this or not, but I witnessed first hand a white plane flying very very high up in the sky on September 11th when supposedly all the planes were grounded.  Here in Chicagoland area, skies were a bit cloudy but I saw a white plane really high in the sky flying directly south (O'hare is ~25 miles east of me) and pointed it out to my family, we all saw it.  I never thought of it until last night when I first watched Loose Change.

Then again, who knows what it could have been.

Sometime a few years back or so I planned on implementing a system like this into my bot.  I don't know about many other users, but using the run dialog in the start menu on Windows is quite convenient, especially if you have hotkeys set up for it.  The idea its self is unique, keep up the good work.

I didn't know everyone had a masters degree in pointless Valhalla Legends trivia. It doesn't matter anymore and never did, ok?

Simply put: one moment Skywing, Skywing[vL], [vL], BinaryBot and etc were there and the next they all dropped, wouldn't you assume that was Skywings network of bots if you saw that too?

It's so pointless that you create a thread about it?  Being around for a while knowing a lot of people, you tend to know these things, sorry.  And no, it'd be logical to assume that the server they were on dropped since you can easily squelch one and see if they're running off the same system, which they are not, and also you could view updates via Botnet.

Oh, and [vL] runs off of Grok's server

Wrong. [vL] is run by Thing, as is valhallalegends.com.

Wrong.  Grok shipped a server to Thing.  Thing hosts it.  [vL] is ran by ZeroBot, on Grok's server, hosted by Thing.

Skywing loads the ops bot and a couple bots.

Back when Bsd DDoS'd the server, Skywing temporarly hosted a second operator ([vL]#2) for several months.  That is not the case anymore.

Skywing's Windows 2000 server crashes

http://bolt-head.com/images.html

Skywing uses Windows Server 2003 and so does valhallalegends.com.  The server didn't crash, [vL]#2 (hosted by Skywing's very own system) has not been updated for the new patch, and isn't even running (nor is any of his bots so it's logical to assume that he stopped those services since he's still on MSN daily).  [vL] isn't running either (not seen on Botnet), yet valhallalegends.com is still accessible via http and ftp, the server didn't crash.

That's only if "do nothing" includes the "no eating" diet.

Lies, I've lost about 20 pounds since last summer eating and playing on the computer. :)

I don't think that's something to be proud of...

How so? You lost weight... without exercise... or paying for a dieting program... I think he should be very proud.

I'm pretty sure I already said it, but losing weight is only good if you're overweight and weak.  Otherwise, if you lose weight by doing nothing, it probably means you've lose muscle mass.

From what I've seen in his pictures, it doesn't look like he has much he can lose, like you said (somewhat)... So I'd say 20lbs sure is a great deal and he should seriously start going out places (being serious)...
