Pretty crazy that we're closer to 2030, than we are 2005. Where did the time go!

General Discussion / Re: Art

That I am the end picture is creepy as hell. Other then that, they all look stunning. Especially that tree. I'd go for it. I know I've decorated my walls with movie posters instead of art but, the feeling is a bit the same. Watch out though, it can get addicting. You end up spending a lot more then you planned.

So, it's an art form right? Well, this is basically the first REAL custom job I've done with professional paint. All my others simply included fabric modifications. I made this to match an ESP hoodie of mine. (I'm providing links because the pictures are sort of big...)

So, here's what I started out with (Nike Air Captivate):

And about 15 hours later:

Here's the original design concept so you can see what I added/removed/changed:

Tell me what you think please. I thought these turned out okay... My fine detail work could stand for some improvement. If you have any questions please ask and I'll answer. :) Thanks for looking!

On a side note, whenever I see people talking on a blue tooth I always think they have schizophrenia or something.

Not to be rude but, meh, who cares ??? It's just a little publicity stunt for Hannah Montana after her toys were re-called due to lead based paint. Granted, you shouldn't lie about something so serious but really, no harm done. That essay blew by the way. It was like what, 3 sentences? (Joke)  :D

Yep, that sucks.  Zoos sort of seem unreasonable to me sometimes too.

Your link looks like it's a 404, by the way.

Fixed, sorry about that.

I've always hated zoo's. They shouldn't keep animals locked up like that. I know a lot of them have been born into captivity but there are just as many that are caught wild and forced into it. I'm not sure if this Tiger was captive bred or wild. Sad stuff though, that would suck to just be walking in a Zoo and suddenly have your face ripped off. :(

I know it's just an idea and no where near being thought feasible to start work on. I'm just simply expressing my thoughts on it.

You should avoid being logged in as root!

I knew someone was going to say that. I was installing an application that had to be dealt with in root. I'm sorry.

"...Though it has long been clear that Earth 1.0 is in need of an upgrade, it was not until a few years ago that someone began to take the notion seriously. In 2004, at a respected international design exhibition called the Venice Architecture Biennale, a young artist and architect named Christian Waldvogel displayed his plans for total global annihilation and the creation of Earth 2.0...."

I think this is very, very out landish but a very interesting idea none the less. I don't doubt that one day we will have the technology to do a feat such as this. The only problem I see is the people. I'm positive feuds and tifts will still exist amongst us. How will we keep military forces up without completely killing ourselves before Earth 2.0 is ready? Everything will change as well. Entertainment, religion, weather, medicine, everything. If something like this is ever enacted, I hope I'm dead. I see failure written all over it.
