Haha yeah, it was more of a plan, but eh? I didn't check back, and I just renewed the domain for 3 years and fixed the SSL cert. So we won't have to worry about this again till 2018

I'm an R, but I dont agree with all the platform. I'd be a D, but I dont agree with all the platform. Poltics...pfft.

And this is the inherent problem with our polarized political environment. Without being an R or D you won't get second glance by most voters in most districts. And yet, if you are one and "cave" to the opposing viewpoint if you agree with it, you're going to be tough to recommend on the same platform.

World of Coca-Cola tour was terrible when I did it. Most fun part was just hanging out with a couple friends. It's 99% marketing about why Coke is cool, and 1% interesting information. Was very displeased.

I'm just now reading this, and it's entertaining but would be too irritating to ever re-read. Also, it seems highly pandering. What computer-person ever says "Well 8 is the 3rd power of 2." and stuff like that? Wtf. HIGHLY pandering, as if to say "LOOK NERDS I KNOW BASE 2!!!"

You may have noticed some downtime this morning. It was brief and planned - I installed a UPS. So hopefully from now on, there will be less downtimes.

Except if you're in my office, where self-managed UPSes tend to fail more than building power. Someone's apcupsd recently shutdown their machine during a self test, that's how dead it was!

Who the hell finds that provocative? All I said was that your personal anecdote, while amusing, has little bearing on whether the person is knowledgeable for voting on politicians/issues in the 21st century. Don't get butthurt.

I think this is too simplistic. How do you determine that a person is stupid? I have a relative who is a bit backwards in his social and political views. He makes anti-gay jokes and hates President Obama. He never went to college, couldn't solve an algebraic equation, and has trouble with words and spelling. But he can also take almost anyone that I know in a fight; he can drive his car all the way across the country (coast to coast) in three days; and busts his ass working overtime to give everything to his kids with a low-to-decent paying job. These last three things I tend to value more than political views, high school mathematics, and literacy. Would you deny him the right to vote?

Holy false equivalencies, Batman. I'm glad you know someone you find personally great, was there an actual useful bit in that otherwise irrelevant story? You already said this person is uneducated, bigoted, and otherwise incapable of having a well-formulated political opinion, I don't see how anything else you said helps your case.
