General Discussion / Buying a laptop

Which one (between these two) should I get? I know for a fact that BestBuy cannot repair Acer products (which is why I'm leaning more towards Toshiba).

Like I posted earlier, Police Interceptors are electronically limited not to go any more than about 210 KM/h. You don't know shit all.

"The officer pursued, but was unable to match his speed." -- I had a feeling that'd be the case. :)

I'd doubt a crown vic could even do 200+ KM/h. 200 is probably pushing it. But that 8 cyl engine sure does help.

Uhh, you're really mistaken then. They'll do atleast around 140.
What are you talking about?

"The 2006–present Police Interceptors equipped with a 3.55:1 rear axle ratio from the factory are electronically limited to 120 mph (193 km/h) due to the lower driveline-critical vehicle speed, while the Police Interceptors equipped with a 3.27:1 rear axle ratio have generally been limited to approximately 130 mph (209 km/h). This compares to 110 mph (177 km/h) for the "civilian" model"

Generally.
Like I said earlier, "200 is probably pushing it". I am not mistaken.

I don't know about anywhere else, but here police officers are never supposed to 'chase down' suspects.  They are told to attempt to get the license plate number or a description of the vehicle failing that so that they can be tracked down later.  High speed pursuits are just asking for someone to get injured, especially in an urban area.
They'll chase them, but the Sargeant might give the order to end the pursuit if it gets too dangerous or risky.

That's what I call being in the right place at the right time!

80GB is much flimsier than the 30GB because of the lack of the double shot plastic coating from the first gen, it makes the 80GB thinner but also much flimsier.
Sadly the 30GB was never available here in Canada. I would have purchased a 30GB Zune long ago if it was here.

13
And yes! Zune ftw! First gen still works flawlessly, as does my second gen. I find the whole Social environment to be much more friendly than the iPod Ecosystem.
My Zune 80GB has to be indestructible. I dropped it on a cement sidewalk, all it received was a little nick on the bottom. I use it everywhere I go. Never had a problem.

14
Ah, no big loss, I guess.

But, my 60gb just died, and I'm fucking pissed. Hard drive just fucking gave out on it

I'm ready to go find the motherfucker that made it and fucking kill them

Seriously, fucking chinese transient assmbler, he should be glad I'm underage, otherwise I'd buy a gun and shoot that motherfucker.

fuck

My Zune is working great.  ;) :)

General Discussion / Re: Shaw blacklisted IP's.
« on: July 06, 2008, 02:11:48 pm »
Home users are usually blocked... since they're a big source of spam. People get infected and send mass amounts of spam.

Cox took the fight to their level and filtered outgoing port 25... but as far as I know any Cox IP I get is blacklisted on spam logs.

Is this what this is about?
It's definitely related to spam, but I really don't understand why they would blacklist all of Shaw's IP's...
