It's nothing disturbing, and I guess it's more funny than informational.

But seriously, how the fuck does something adapt to do that?

General Discussion / wominz lol
« on: September 03, 2006, 12:01:27 pm »
Okay, so I'm at some party & stuff happens that leads to the hostess and I going on a movie-date later today. I've never cared/tried to get a girlfriend before (even though I could have) but now I'm a junior in HS so hell, I might as well get some experience. Others feel different, a certain Newby saying, "Fuck highschool relationships. Once I go to college it's party + booze + chicks!" lolz.. and I agree with him on the latter.

Not sure if it's going to be one of those situations where it doesn't really matter what you're gunna see since uh.. You won't be paying attention to it much, but I doubt it.

So.. Movie suggestions? Tips? Past first-date stories? Flaming Joe? Go for it.

« on: July 23, 2006, 09:21:14 pm »
I like /quit. I've heard there's a lot of grinding and gaining levels through doing instances in the 46-60 level range, but I know there's more quests out there. I've exhauseted all the ones in Tanaris, Hinterlands has a lot of quests that lead to it but not too many of its own, wtf m8 where can I go?!?!11/

I don't want to grind to 50, kthx.

General Discussion / ComiCon!
« on: July 20, 2006, 11:18:04 pm »
ComiCon International comes to San Diego every year, and is the biggest convention on the West Coast.

For all you who don't know, here's what it is:

All the famous, big-named companies, with a lot of medium-popularity, and some people who are trying to start their career come here. The companys that show up:
Blizzard
Marvel
Wizards of the Coast
LotR staff
Star Wars staf

Etc. All the cool stuff any gaming nerd/geek/internet user or whoever can have a fun time at.

I mean, the place is amazing, and the things it features is absolutely astonishing. It takes place in Downtown San Diego, inside the Convention Center, taking up all the rooms. They just removed the partitions to make it a friggin' huge room, probably like 300 yd x 200 yd, packed FULL with awesome shit.

For example, the Blizzard section is what I'm in love with. The new WoW expansion is coming out soon, and the booth they had let the people there play the two new races that are coming out before anyone else.

The DnD section is where my friend started to play, which makes me laugh. From one hystierical DM, preaching to all the newbs on what a d20 means is how many of them start to experience such a fucking fun, creative table-top RPG. Hilarious to see them doing the Basic Starter's Set when I remember doing the exact same thing so long ago.

I mean, jesus. There's an incredible amount of people here. News reporters, Star Wars fanatics ( In groups of 30+ all dressed up as the republics, just cruising around the convention to make sure everything is going alright and there's no Jedis up to mischeif, lmao it's hilarious ).. The place is heaven. I'll be posting a lot on this thread later, with some pictures of the place.

This is really the only convention I've been to, and it's setting the standards very very high. I would very highly recommend anyone here go stop by if you have a chance. It's something you'll want to see.

General Discussion / Dreams
« on: June 23, 2006, 01:16:39 am »
Okay, this is a very quick summary of a very long arguement I had with someone in my WoW guild.

He said that:

If you have never seen an object, never heard of it, never even knew it existed, you can dream of that object and have it be recognizable, realistic, and accurate.

That's complete bullcrap. That's against all logic.. That just makes no sense.

That means a blind man would be able to have fully detailed dreams.

Or maybe I misinterpreted him, and he meant: You never have seen it, or heard of it, or new of its existance, but you still can dream it but NOT recognize it. I guess this is a possibility. Like you've never known cats exist, right. Then in one dream you see this fuzzy-four-legged alien thing ( to you ) and you are like.. "Hmm, that's funny."

But what're the chances of your mind procuring something that extremely accurate when it has nothing to base itself off of? He kept bringing up creativity, but I don't think dreams have anything to do with creativity. I said dreams are compilations of your memory and thoughts, he said it was a manifestation of what you want.

I had a dream when I was three that King Kong was chasing me through a nuclear power plant, I ran outside and hid inside a McDonald's playgym. I remember crawling through the tubes and thinking I was safe, then seeing his enormous eye peer at me and I'd scramble through the network of tubes to get away from the atrocious ape.

I can say with complete honesty that I don't want that to happen.

However, I do agree that " a manifestation of what you want " is a subcategory inside a dream, rather than being a fitting definition of "dream"

Dreams are awfully weird things, and I think they hold a -lot- of potential that we have yet to unlock. ( I think it might be a skill that's learned ~ level 50 or something.. We just need to get there. )

General Discussion / Gone for this weekend + Getting job.. :[
« on: June 23, 2006, 01:07:38 am »
Going to Palm Springs ( A very, very very very nice vacation place in Southern California, somewhat in a desert. It's hot alright, buy holy Jesus it's nice. Going with a friend ( who's very rich, you kinda have to be to have a house there ).

So I'll be gone this weekend. Anyone else doing any vacation-like stuff?

And to conclude my previous post about getting a job, I'm going to work at Subway. I'm not saving the money for anything for me, but rather for my family. Just went through a divorce and we're really not that well off financially, so I'm hoping that this little flow of income will help.

And besides, now I can ask all the chix: " You want teh 6-inch or the foot-long, baby? "

General Discussion / Torrent program
« on: June 21, 2006, 11:10:15 pm »
I am absolutely fucking disgusted with (mu)Torrent, because of it's constant failure to get more than 20 seeds when there's 80 110+ available.

Any recommendations on which you use?
