General Discussion / Re: x86 Reunion in San Francisco
« on: June 06, 2012, 06:47:33 pm »
How does June 30 (Saturday) work for everybody? Somewhere in the city? I'm open to suggestions about where, I don't know the city very well. Somewhere we can do dinner + drinks? Or separate places? I don't care! Let's plan something though :)

I'll be around. Jimmy and I are about an hour away, so it's a bit of a drive, but I'm sure we can make it work.

My goal is to change Sidoh's tree into some sort of bush.

Ew.

Sounds like fun. If people let me know what kinda stuff/food they like, I'll ask around for recommendations.

It would probably be more effective if the people involved listed the things they did not like, because I'm sure most are open to pretty much anything.

... tastefully kept behind closed doors!

tasty is right.  YUM.

we forgot to mention.. Pho tai means dog soup. Still liked it? ;D

It was DELICIOUSSSS.
no pho tai is a beef noodle soup. I am vietnamese I would know

I think you completely missed the sarcasm in my post. I'm not as much of an ignorant asshole as it must seem, I'm sure plenty of the members here who have personally met me can vouch.

On the current topic: my main problem with people's choice of eating vegitarian or vegan is that they go about it in an unhealthy way. Many people fail to suplement their diet and don't get the proper nutriants from their food choices to stay healthy.

I'll have you know that girls like it when you have a nice clean, good looking room/house. This includes knowing a thing or two about bedding. Having a nice bed setup makes the panties come off quicker.. Nothing gay about that!

You're so cool because you're non-conformist! Who needs to celebrate the new year anyway?
Well perhaps you can enlightmen as me [and I'm sure others] as to why it's such a marvelous occassion that everyone goes all batshit crazy about it?

nothing amazingly spectacular, but it's basically an excuse to have a good time, however that may be for you. Our society basically stops over the holiday, most people don't have school or work, so why not enjoy yourself? I'm just tired of people having the attitude that they're superior because they don't "party" or conform to the social norm. But ts whatever, I'm not here to start arguements. We're all friends here :)

I agree with Sidoh, and I think we should invent some holidays that are set aside just to have fun :P

people already have: thirsty Thursdays, fucked up Fridays, etc..

Happy New Year's! :)

I totally missed the 12:00 celebration due to falling asleep at 7:30pm, but eh? It's just another day. :)

Weird, I fell asleep at 6:30 and I didn't miss the countdown...

6:30 AM on the first? :p

It should be obvious from a lot of other posts I've made that I don't put too much merit in arbitrary celebrations. :)
Nor do I. The group of people with whom I was hanging out with last night just went "hey it's 12. happy decade!" and we kept on doing whatever.

You're so cool because you're non-conformist! Who needs to celebrate the new year anyway?

Obama Obama praise thy name. Our most glorious leader advancing peace throughout all the land. Come forth so that we may shower thee with the most prestigious of gifts and awards.

This is worth posting again. Nobody has thoughts on this event?

I do, but based on your previous post, I don't really want to discuss it with you.

Hahaha.. you all have too much time on your hands for reading this.

Can someone give me the tl;dr version?

His friend gets turned into a computer by the government, and secretly hacks himself to be awesome, then escapes.  He changes his friend (the person telling the story) into the same, they both get captured by the government.  He refuses to do anything for them, so they let them go and pay them to keep quiet.  He moves to Africa.  The End.

This confused me, and I probably spent more time trying to decode what it said and comprehend it then it would have taken me to read the original story. Thanks jerk. ;]

That'd be lame, since I switched from Verizon to AT&T to get an iPhone. I have to say, Verizon's service is quite a bit better, but their phones suck. Especially the software on all their phones, it's just miserable. We'll see what happens, though. I'm not expecting it to come out very soon, or be a super awesome iPhone, mainly because Verizon has some shitty standards for their phones. Perhaps they'll prove me wrong, though!

Mine which is why this sucks.

His insurance has to pay for it but I still have my deductible, and loss of my car for awhile.

Shouldn't cost you anything; you only pay the deductible when your insurance covers something.

Correct.

Insurance = scam. We pay into a system that rarely, if ever, helps us out.

If his insurance didn't cover yours... you'd probably be SOL!

Heh.. insurance has come in handy quite a bit for me. One of the main reasons I've been able to put so much money into modifying my car is because of luck and insurance.

I want cake. Plain and simple. If there's icing on it, that's great too!
You can't have your cake and eat it too. I'm sorry.

He didn't specify oral, I was assuming he was only hoping for vaginal intercourse.

You're lucky cuz you got the best looking one. :p
Lucky sonofabitch. =P
Apparently for Towelie, taking a picture is the new "getting lucky"?

I didn't say "getting lucky". I was merely noting that he had it better than some of the others, because he got to be close to the more attractive female out of the bunch. I have also included a picture of Towelie from a few seconds later:
