General Discussion / Help on disk-read error.

My main box (the one with all my AP English homework on it.) just went out. I left with it running fine, no problems. I just had about a 2-3 second power outage (due to lightning?). After the outage, I went to look at the computer. It said, and I quote "Disk read error. ctrl+alt+del to restart." I restarted, same thing. Well first it has the "Compaq" little intro thing. I really need some help here. Is the hard drive screwed? I need it before Tuesday. Is it a lost hope? I could start typing this English stuff up again...

I like to mess around with potato guns occasionally. I made one out of steel that runs on air, its very clean and a bit more powerful than regular hairspray powered potato guns (also more reliable.).

Anyone wanna know how to build a hairspray one? I could help.

General Discussion / New general topic idea: Music

I dont know how many people would be interested in this, nor how hard it would be to do, but I think there should be a topic under the Developement category that reguards music in some way shape or form. General talks could be about bands - instruments - websites of good reference to bands and instruments. I've heard of a few talking about guitar on here, and I'm not sure how many there are here, but i think pretty much everyone is musically inclined. Just a thought.

Introductions! / asdf.

well - im not really new here - but i think im finally becoming active. well - im real life friends with newby - and uh - im into cars (mostly old and custom stuff - not chinky stuff i.e. civics or wop stuff i.e. ferarri) - i play guitar, and im getting to be decent - i like welding and making stuff and im currently working on a car with my dad - in music im pretty varied - but generally stick to anything with a good guitar. http://www.last.fm/user/Danx86/ should give you an idea of musics. ive made a bit of art in the past - i like to screw around with fractal programs and such. religon - uh - pretty much athiest - buddhist if anything (the philosophy behind it, anyway.) politically i dont like the views of most americans (republican or democrat) because i think political parties are the lazy way out. for example, lets say bush had a kid and named him john bush - he would be sponsored by republicans no matter what his views are - he could have 100% democratic views, and get 90% of the republican vote (and 10% of the democratic vote). i just think the whole party system is screwed, but eh, what can i do?

very fine and developed program. I used it last year in an engineering class - and found it the other night.

I made this guitar design on it over about 1 days work - very simple and easy to use.









I still have the 3D file and I am pretty sure that Autodesk has made a free program for viewing 3D files, lemme know if you have that, get that, or just want this.
