General Discussion / Re: signs
« on: November 28, 2009, 11:22:19 pm »
Seriously, nobody here has heard of this happening? The first promise for reciting the rosary is that you will be sent signal graces. By "sign recognition" I mean seeing or experiencing things (not illusions, just looking at things in a new light) that feel as if they are there as a sign of what to do, or as reassurance that what you're doing is right or wrong. Omens, signals, etc. Whatever you want to call them. This is not an uncommon phenomenon, and I know its mentioned often from a biblical perspective, but I'm not too well versed on religion so that's why I posted.

In any case Sunday-Tuesday had a number of strange occurrences that aided me in a significant life decision. They could have been coincidental, but it seems as if they were too well related.

Like serendipity? It really depends on the outlook you have on your personal experiences, and what you decide to make of them.

If you're going to primarily use Windows, you could install EasyBCD (freeware) to manage your boot entries.

I watched it at the theater alone. It started a bit slow, but it definitely picked up. It got to a point where I was asking myself, "How can the next night be any worse?"

JavaOp Support Archive / Re: JavaOp2 final edition changes

You should include the date for any changes/updates made to the bot when you edit your post. You know, to keep changes clear. Or alternatively, just paste the changelog if you're keeping one. :P

Keep it up, Joe.

ECS 040: A
MAT 021D: Up in the air, I'm hoping for a B+.
PHY 009HC: B+, maybe A-. Depends on how I did on the midterm!

Changing my guesses to: A, B, B- (in order).

Changing guesses to: A, C, B- (hopefully). Fuck my life. Fuck this quarter. :(

A C C?

General Discussion / Re: "Technology"
« on: May 18, 2009, 11:48:33 pm »
Along with what Warrior said, we're just taking a minor detour in terms of technological development, but I can definitely agree with how it's deterring actual progress. The minds that are put to use developing these slight conveniences could be doing much, much greater things.

How about everyone just get back on there (or at least idle) so that it's no longer a deadzone?

Ugh.. how about... One free night at iago's house!  (Traveling expenses not included)  :)

I might starve to death! I thrive on meat.
What makes you think iago doesn't have a nice thick sausage in his pants for you?

LOL! The thought had never crossed my mind, but it sounds like a notion that you're definitely intimate with. ;)

I was wondering why your orange juice was so expensive, and then I remembered that you were from Canada, so I went ahead and did the exchange rate conversion.

What brand of orange juice would you consider good, if not Tropicana's? I'm actually serious since I don't drink OJ too often.

What will the incentive be? You know, other than bragging rights.

Ugh.. how about... One free night at iago's house!  (Traveling expenses not included)  :)

I didn't say it included food.

Touche. :)

I wouldn't mind partaking as an outside judge if that's ok with everyone else.

I'm not particularly skilled with Photoshop, but if Towelie is going to partake, then based on his previous work with Armin and while1, I think I have a fighting chance.

[Edit] Got names mixed up. Corrected.
