I have a number of fun trips coming up.  The rest of the time I'll probably be keeping myself busy with home improvement projects.

May - Omaha: weekend trip
May - Tulsa: Foo Fighters concert
June - San Antonio: vacation
July - Boson: Revis concert, maybe more
August/September/October - camping trip TBD

This thread has made me hungry. One of my favorite places to eat in Manhattan (KS) is Coco Bolos.

That's the glory of CrossFire.  Create a profile in CCC and then you can use them all (they are all treated as 1 monitor)
Does it have the same annoyances that some of the linux display drivers have with multiple monitors treating them as 1? Example: popups that show up in the center of your screen end up being split by a monitor boundary.

I've had an equal amount of frustration with indy companies, especially when they work with Steam.  Still, I prefer the internet-connection-and-account requirements to rootkits on my PC :).

"What to do if you find yourself stuck in a crack in the ground underneath a giant boulder you can't move, with no hope of rescue[about to die from a motorcycle accident]. Consider how lucky you are that life has been good to you so far. Alternatively, if life hasn't been good to you so far, which given your current circumstances seems more likely, consider how lucky you are that it won't be troubling you much longer." -Douglas Adams

I'll continue reading slashdot through TwitterGoogle Reader. I only need headlines anyway...

MLA didn't change to 1 space until a few years ago.  I've always used their guidelines.

With tomorrow's likely announcement of the iPhone coming to Verizon... I'll probably be getting an iPhone at the end of the month... having estimated the cost for the unlimited data plan + cheapest voice plan + cheapest texting option - 21% company discount ~= $65/mo or so... I might as well stop being a Jew and get a smartphone.
You won't get as much of a discount as you think.  Typically the plan discount applies ONLY to the base amount of the plan and not the data/text/insurance/anything else packages you add on.  I'm using a family plan with a 20% corporate discount and it only saves me about $15/month.

I work a paid internship as a 'web programmer' at a video game company, and since I'm remote, I don't really have set hours I need to be online or anything, so long as I'm getting all of my work done.  I get to choose a lot of what I do as well, which I think is probably one of the best perks a job can give.  When I find myself bored over the next few days, I imagine I'll be working.
Choose to work on RAP! :)

dd if=/mnt/backup/device of=/device

but seriously, I don't.  Good backups + making sure I store anything I care about somewhere that it will be backed up removes any need for forensics.

I realize this is probably of little consolation to you since you must have already lost some data :)

VMWare tends to drift, and for some reason my ntp cronjob doesn't work so the time gets fixed when I do a ntp sync manually.

What version of VMWare are you using? There are some known host-guest clock synchronization issues versions based on ESX3.5.
