I love it! It's a Lovecraftian take on sex ed. Hilarious. Awesome acting, awesome music, the narration is hilarious (almost to the point of annoying, but not quite), and I really like the camera work. The interplay of all those is super well done!

So, I did something kinda bold today: I deleted every account with 0 posts. I already turned on "approval required".

Hopefully I didn't accidentally anybody's real account. Sorry if I did. :)

Ever since I saw the movie graduation, where one of the characters had an eyebrow pierced that looked really good, I've wanted one.

But really, I was hoping to get something else pierced anyway, so it just gave me the idea of *what*.

So yeah, I'm now 10% cooler! Which, as it turns out, is still 0. :(

See me present! w00t!

I hate my own voice, and I talk too fast, and blahblahblah. Plus a chunk's missing (but I think they recovered the audio?).

All that aside, if you want to see me giving a talk, there it is!

So, today I did an event that basically amounted to a scavenger hunt throughout a large indoor complex. It was amazing - we got to visit crawlspaces, roofs, construction areas, disused portions of buildings, and a lot of other amazing stuff. Very cool!

I'm a total coward, though, I was constantly afraid of getting caught/in trouble. I know the heads of both the physical and IT security there, so getting caught would have been especially interesting. :)

It was really cool, though, and I hope to do it again. Being places and seeing things that you aren't intended to see... priceless!

General Discussion / Finding love in "reparation therapy"
« on: February 13, 2011, 05:22:12 pm »
This is a nice story:
http://www.dallasvoice.com/true-romance-finding-love-midst-antigay-reparative-therapy-1064412.html

It's about two guys who go to an anti-gay "reparative therapy" camp, fall in love, and end up getting married. It's kinda long, but worth the read IMO.

2 million people are in central Cairo calling for their "president", who has rules for 30 years, to step down. There would be even more, except the government ordered streets blocked and the trains shut down to try and control things.

People are handing out food, supplies, taking care of garbage, cleaning up litter, etc, and have been for weeks. Last I heard, the president and many of the rich business class have fled the country.

The government has shut down the Internet, telephone systems, and other communication mediums to try and quell this uprising, but people have found ways to organize anyways. Nothing warms my heart like citizens telling their government to go f*** themselves, especially in a peaceful way.
