General Discussion / Re: What are you up to?
« on: September 22, 2009, 10:12:48 pm »
Where are you living? (City/State/Province)
Davenport, Washington State. A small town just outside of Spokane.

What are you up to? (where are you going to school? working?)
I am preparing to begin going into Sudan as a missionary in the next year, or possibly two. Biblical studies and prayer, and soon cultural studies are my primary focus right now. Besides that working, and making moves to go into business for myself; I work for a friend, so he is gracious enough to let me phase out as my customer base grows.

What do you do for fun these days? (games/sports/etc)
I think I need to invest a little more into the fun arena. I can't say I really have a hobby right at the moment. I try to avoid games as much as possible because they annihilate my time. I have a regular exercise routine, but I can honestly say it hasn’t become exactly fun yet, although I do like the results. I am learning to play the guitar which is nice. I enjoy paint balling but I only do that a couple times a year. Just played two weeks ago and still have bruises. That was fun.

Are you dating/married?
Married

Did you go anywhere cool in the past year or two?
Memphis, Tennessee. Dallas, Texas. I also spent some time in several towns/cities on the central Oregon coast two times this year. I’d have to say this is about it.

Logorrhea
-noun
1. Pathologically incoherent, repetitious speech.
2. Incessant or compulsive talkativeness; wearisome volubility.

By his own measure, he is a man of many contradictions, beginning with the fact that he is famous as a listener but suffers from a touch of logorrhea. He is so voluble that one wonders how his subjects get a word in edgewise.

Alright iago, could 'whom' not be the object in which the weapon victimizes? As if the weapons are a self wielding personification doing the victimizing? My plight is real, objective and subjective confusion.
I have no idea what you just said. :)

I'm satisfied with that.

Very, very nice weapons.  Congratulations on the wedding! :)

Whom shall be the victim of these weapons?
'Who', not 'Whom'!

'Whom' is only used when it's the object of the sentence, not the subject.

Sorry. :)

I guess that's why I labeled myself a 'neophyte', since I know very little if anything at all. I now have another piece of information in my little treasury.

Dude you took honeymoon pics but didn't have any nekked ones? :O

Hahahaha just kidding. Congratulations man, best wishes.

Of course such intimate moments will never be publicly exposed. I love and respect her way to much.  :-X I of course take no offense at such a notion.  ;D Thanks for your best wishes!

Congrats! My sister was married on the same day (this year, not an anniversary).

January 1 of this year we had to go reserve the park that the ceremony was held in. Earlier that day someone with the same last name as myself, to whom I don’t have any relation, rented the same garden for the same day, just at an earlier time.

I hope that your sister has a long and blessed marriage.

Wow, you've sure grown up! Congrats!

Shhh! Don't spread the secret too far!

To everyone else, Thanks!

Didn't know what to think of it at first, but once it got a little further into the plot the uniqueness of the film began appealing to my need for something original. Unquestionably one of the more foreign movies I’ve seen as of late. The gore was off the charts but the excessive usage of the f*** word a spot much for my liking. I found myself emotionally attached with a nice flow of adrenaline and anticipation. All in all I like it.

I love that one.

I'd like to be set as active. I might not be talking much, but I am watching and getting a feel for things.

General Discussion / Re: Pornography

There was a serial killer up in my region named Ted Bundey. While he was in his prime I believe he killed atleast 20-30 girls, maybe more. A lot of them were prostitutes and a few were even from my city. After he was caught and awaiting deathrow he had an encounter with God and was seen to have made amazing changes to who he was at a heart level. He began to help officials understand how a serial killer thinks and some reasons he gets started. He said pornography coupled with other elements is what got him and many others started in there twisted lifestyle. He was later executed.

I used to be an avid watcher of porn but am now seriously ashamed of how it made me look and feel towards woman. I still struggle with lust and it is an issue that hurts me more than anything else in context to my engagement with my beautifull wife to be and the prospect of having a daughter in the years to come. It's not about being religious, it's about the damage it does in individuals, families, and our social structures as a whole.
