Ender's Book Club / Hi everyone

Hi everyone. I am really happy to be posting here. It has been a long time.

I thought I would give you an update on my life. I graduated college in 2012, and I started working as a software engineer in 2012 or 2013. (At first, it was hard to get a job, but then I got my foot in the door, and I learned a lot about applying for jobs, making a resume, writing a cover letter, et cetera.)

I have been working as a software engineer since 2012 or 2013. I have worked for four different employers. I've been fortunate in that I have always had good managers. I really like the teams I have worked with, the managers I have worked with, and the projects I have worked on.

In all of my jobs, I have done either back-end development or full-stack development. I have mainly worked with Java and Python. In the full-stack jobs, I also worked with HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS. In a couple of jobs I worked with AWS Cloud, and got to learn more about cloud computing.

So I thought I would tell you a bit about my career as a software engineer.

I can trace my roots as a software engineer back to these forums :)

I can also trace my roots as a software engineer back to computer camp, which I attended in high school.

Software engineering is such a fancy phrase, that sometimes I just say I'm a computer programmer.

I learned a lot of valuable lessons on these forums, in programming, and also in life.

I'm so happy I joined this clan back in high school. I'm proud of everyone I met on these forums.

Best wishes,
Ender (aka Andrew)

Hey nerds!

I just wanted to update y'all a bit!

I moved https://www.x86labs.org to Github Pages, you can see the code @ https://github.com/iagox86/www.x86labs.org - it's basically a static site, I just renamed php to html

I moved https://forum.x86labs.org to a new server - it's a Linode Nanode instance, so it's tiny and slow but at this point this is just a museum piece so whatevers.

Cheers!
