If anybody would like to give me a comparison between Apache (1.3.33) versus Apache 2 (2.*) (and what the hell 2.0.54 versus 2.1.x is) I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

2.1.x is the beta version for 2.0.x.

1.3.33 compiles about 100x faster than 2.0.54.  That's why I use 1.3.33.

Compiles?

It took my box about ~10 minutes to download the source, make, and then make install. 850 mhz.

1.3.33 took ~10-20 seconds on darkside.  Not counting PHP, of course.
