hmm, I know some people that say she should hang, I think I agree pretty much.

She killed her 5 kids, if she really is bonckers (sp?) then she is just a drain on society while in the nut house.  If she ever gets out of there what's to say she won't go off again?

Anyway, what do y'all think about her not getting time?

It's a load of crap IMO. "not guilty due to insanity" should be "guilty due to insanity."
The douchebag method:

Including them.

I think they're all off...some of them off in different ways.  Maybe this lady didnt understand/know what she was doing...maybe she was on drugs & thought her kids were threats (I heard story of a dude that killed his g/f cause he was hallucinating).

Hitmen, they just dont have "a heart"

I haven't read into this particular situation, but it isn't uncommon for someone who has committed murder to plead insanity.  My problem with such a general plead is that a majority of people who commit such acts are indeed insane, but that doesn't make them less of a threat to society.   On the other hand, the specific circumstances leading to a murder are absolutely worth considering: we shouldn't just have a blind rule we follow in every situation.  Each situation is individual.  I just think pleading insanity is far too general a claim: that alone doesn't differentiate her from many other murderers.

Most people only plead insanity if they have something to back it up.  Not many people get off on insanity...but when they do get off it makes the news.

Yeah, I agree.

If their insanity is treatable (through therapy/drugs), then I think it's valid to plead insanity in such a case.

Well, if it's common for people to plead insanity, but not common to get off due to insanity, then it can't be that everybody is provably insane, in the way that matters.

Hitmen
