Pretty crazy that we're closer to 2030, than we are 2005. Where did the time go!

And don't say STV because I will honestly shoot you in the face. I hate STV and will not go there.

I'm an icy cool mage if that helps.
errr... something like that...

Towelie

STV is a good place, but Badlands would work too. If not, try hinterlands, but it may be too high

... why do you hate STV?  It's the best quest hub there is until the Plaguelands.  I highly recommend reconsidering your oppinion. :P

Desolace wouldn't be too bad if you haven't already done the quests there.  Stranglethorn Vale really is an awesome place to quest.  When you get into mid/upper 40's (if you're into the whole grinding thing... it's not so bad if you have rested experience), there are tons of quests in Feralas, Tanaris and Un'Goro Crater.  Towelie mentioned The Hinterlands, which are intended for a 47-ish level character.

I used to hate STV. And then I switched to a PvE server. And now, I actually like it. Pirates!

Tanaris and Feralas were the main places I quested at that level, but I also suggest jumping into Searing Gorge around 43/44/45. I once saw a 42 priest questing there, you've just got to be careful to.. not die. :D  If you can, farm Uldaman and RFD as much as possible, that's how I got through a majority of my 40's.

Oh, yeah... I forgot that Maelstrom is PvPRP... I don't blame you at all, then.  I tried for 10 minutes to quest there on my Shaman (@Magtheridon) and totally failed... it turned into a gank-fest.  I killed a 32 Druid (that tried to kill me with her friends) 4 times, afterwhich her friends swiftly slew me. :(

Krazed

See, I don't understand that. I've been questing in STV a good bit and I've gotten ganked once. I mostly sneak up on 30-37 horde, fear, dot, and watch them die though.  :P
It is good to be good, but it is better to be lucky.

Joe

I grinded the circles of binding with my buddy Stealth back at 39. If you mean the 40's, they'd get too low by the end, but at high 30's low 40's they're good. If anyone's interested, Stealth and I were Mage and Warlock, respectively.

You might be right about that, Joe.

Ok, I am now level 42.  Are there any quests in an area that level not in STV?

You'd be on the outside lower edge, but you could try Feralas.

Joe

Is it really ground? I know English is 'tarded, but ground and grind are competely different words, and parts of speech. :-\

Yes.

English isn't "retarded."

Joe

Well, English isn't retarded, but it's far too complicated. In the language of my dreams, we would specify what we're talking about before we describe it (apple red, such as in Spanish), and each word would have one meaning, and each meaning would have one word.

English isn't that complicated... like NTFS compared to ext3, it's ROBUST. :P
