Remember between that picture and now, the Kingdom of Azeroth (in Warcraft I, it was Lordaeron and Azeroth, not Lordaeron and Stormwind) was completely conquered by orcs and rebuilt. Stormwind's rebuilding leads into VanCleef and the Defias Brotherhood lore, and Northshire's invasion of Defias bandits.

Also, Medivh was in Northshire Abbey in a coma for a while. :)
