NB: If you have integrated video, remove your video card, hook that up, and power on.

Slightly less NB: If you have integrated video, make sure you select your video card in BIOS.

Expanding on what Warrior said, the no-signal screen will go away if you plug it in to anything, including a video card not even attached to a computer.

You might be right about that, Joe.

YAY, I found out my problem. I did what Joe said and hooked up my monitor to my intregrated video slot. There was a cap on my integrated video slot (thus thinking I didn't have a integrated slot) so I overlooked that possibility. And walah, my monitor shows shit now. So that means, my video card needs replacement. Boo.

Thanks mucho guys!

512MB $100-$199
1GB $100-$199

I can do that myself, but is there a card that you have previously used/or have that you would recommend me?  :)

Err... no.

Did you actually remove the video card before testing on the integrated one?

Chances are the integrated one just ended up selected somehow so its the only one outputing video..

mmm I didn't remove the video card. I mean if it didn't work from the video card but it did work from the integrated video card, doesn't that mean my actual video card is blown?

And I realized... that my integrated video card is a GeForce 6150LE and my actual video card is a GeForce 7300LE... they're both 256MB cards... lolol.

Blaze

Is this a new setup, or did this computer work fine before?
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

The computer worked handy dandily before. I just restarted my computer after it being on for a while and it wouldn't start back up.

Not quite. An actual video card has its own memory; an integrated card leeches memory from the system when it needs it.

Ahh, I see. I was contemplating if I should even replace it, so I guess I should.

Nope. Try going into the BIOS and seeing if you can see the dedicated card. If you can try disabling the integrated card and see if the dedicated card works again.

Okay, I went into the BIOS and selected this option: ONBOARD/CARD = Use integrated video controller unless a graphics card is installed. A PCI Express graphics (PEG) card will override and disable the integrated video controller.

After selecting this option, I went into dxdiag and it still showed the integrated card in the video tab. So does that 100% confirm that it is my video card in error?

Camel

No; you need to reseat it before you can draw that conclusion.

Since you plan to replace the card if it's bad, you'll have to learn how to take the card out anyways.
