D&D Today/yesterday (8pm-2am) was so fucking awesome. We didnt get started for an hour and half, but it OWNS. My sorcerer owned, but I need more damage spells. I cant wait to play again!

Don't get early level damage spells. Wait until you get damage spells that upgrade as you level (like magic missiles and fireball) since in the end, all your useless 1d3 damage spells (ala that acid spell early on, along with the 1d4+1 ray of frost) that were awesome early on are useless, and could be replaced with something that DOESN'T suck. :)

the only damage spell I do have IS magic missles.

Good layout for a sorc:

Cantrips: detect magic, light, resistance, ????
1-level: magic missiles, mage armor (+4 AC is very nice)

thos are the first level spells I have. I now have the choise of another spell! 0 level. I think its only one. I leveled up to 2 that night. I also have detect magic for my first spell. I forgot the rest, oh yeah I have flare , read magic, and I forgot the toher one....
