First, a second or third generation iPod.

Second, a laptop. I don't care how good it is, as long as it will run Linux + X decently. I guess the specs would be something along the lines of 400MHz processor, 128 (64 is acceptable) MB of RAM, 20ish GB HD, etc. It's not for gaming, it'd be more for taking projects between home and school (and, of course, working on them).

I don't have any money, but if the price is reasonable (up to 200 dollars for the laptop, 100 for the iPod), I'm sure I can get it out of my parents easily.

Thanks in advance.

You might be right about that, Joe.

I have a non-functional G3 iPod. :)

How about a stripped Dell Dimension 3000? It's got all the parts except a floppy, cd-drive, and a processor.

Dimension is a desktop. If you mean inspiron, I'll have to see how much a CD-Drive and processor for it will be.

Yes, desktop. Just seeing if you want it anyway ;)

Joe

Hehe. Well, if the price is really nice (>100), I could go for a server. But it's not really a priority to me right now.

EDIT -
And I have a desktop floppy && cd drive in the office.

Just name the specs and I'll sell you as many servers as you want for > $100 ;)

I've got both, sadly. Heh.

I have a broken second generation iPod somewhere around here, and my old laptop (engorged) is useless now! Damn the IRS!

I'll even give you the CD/DVD drive for engorged.

engorged = 800 MHz, 256MB RAM, and an old 30GB HDD I have laying around.

If I get either back I'll let you know. ;)

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Joe

I've got enough broken iPods around here already (two too many!). I'll take engorged, hop on AIM foo.
