World of WarCraft References
« on: January 17, 2007, 11:15:34 pm »
This thread is designed to both index these forums in a reasonable manner and provide links to external resources. Please only reply to this thread to report a broken link or suggest a new link. I'd like to keep this thread clean so all replies will be deleted after being dealt with, but don't worry -- if you recommend a link you'll definitely receive the thanks you deserve. :)

The Basics
  • Thottbot - List of drops, mobs, zones, NPCs, quests, players, and guilds. Great overall reference for finding someone or something.
  • Allakhazam - World of WarCraft - Another index of things. Apparently hosts rankings of stuff.
  • WoW Head - Yet another index of things. Thanks Blaze!
  • WoW Wiki - A Wiki of all things that were, are, and are yet to become part of the WarCraft universe. Thanks disco!
  • WoW Armory - Blizzard-Hosted website listing several things, such as characters and their gear. Thanks ZeroX!

Rankings / Character Audits
  • be.imba.hu - Character auditor. Great for listing upgrades.
  • WoW Heroes - Character auditor
  • SK Gaming Arena Stats - Lists the statistics for all arena brackets, all regions, and individually by class, etc. Shows team makeup as well as talent spec. Thanks warz!

Interface Modifications
  • Curse - The biggest collection of WoW addons out there. Also, using the Curse Client, you can automatically keep your addons up-to-date. Thanks Furious!
  • WoWInterface - Another large collection of UI addons. Thanks Furious!

Burning Crusade -- World of WarCraft's first expansion!

Wrath of the Lich King -- Current Expansion!

Guides
  • Guide Pack - This guide pack includes everything from leveling to making money to PvP tactics.
  • Jame's Alliance Leveling Guide -- Tells you what to kill, what quests do to, and everything in between, from level 1 to 70.
  • Jame's Horde Leveling Guide -- Tells you what to kill, what quests to do, and everything in between, from level 1 to 70.

Shady things -- Various backdoors, spyware, trojans, and questionable utilities
  • Warden -- Blizzard's cheat detection engine
  • Glider -- A World of WarCraft bot. Note that use of Glider violates the TOS and EULA and is grounds for account closure if caught.

I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.
