Haha. My computer science teacher saw that I was running firefox and he's like "OMG YOU'RE NOT SUPPOST TO BE RUNNING THAT!" -- lol.

I still like my method the most! Just install damn small linux to a USB drive and boot from it. My school used Novell, but I was able to connect to their network in DSL with DHCP anyway and didn't have to fight with the software.

Lots of older computers don't boot to USB drives.  Plus, sometimes those sorts of things are disabled in the BIOS, which are presumably password protected.  I know it's easy to get around that by moving a jumper, but having a computer partially disassembled probably looks a little bit suspicious. :P

I did that once in my computer engineering class.  The teacher didn't care.  :)

Haha.  It's more like "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO RUN THAT!"

;P.  It's either he didn't care, or it was that we were building computers for a project and the computer cases looked similar.  I know him on a personal level so it could have been either or.

Here's another trick. When it asks you for the username, try typing in test and then hit TAB. There will probably be quite a few "test" accounts already made if your school's admins are noobs like mine are. Try figuring out the password to one of those accounts. Quite often they will be very easy.

For example, a staff account at my school's login is test3//test3. :)

My schools version does not have tab-completion for the login.  :(

That's a really stupid "feature."

It certainly makes it east for cracking un-used teacher accounts.  :D

Does anyone know how to crack a Mayet loggin? My school uses Mayet for attandence, grades, etc.

I'd recommend you stay away from endeavors like that.

Newby

That's crossing the line. :/

My school uses some Novell-based login system for attendance and (most likely) grades, too. I'm not looking to actively hack and change my grade, though. I'd like to go to college. :)

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I was able to get my (any other other) student grades/attendance for browsing using my schools web-software for selecting courses, but I would never go as far to change something, that, as people have stated is crossing the line, and is a good way to get expelled.

I wasn't planning on changing anything, just taking a peek.  :D

That's more than enough to warrant pretty severe punishment.

Unless he does it right and isn't stupid about it.
