Did you get the chocolate I mailed you yet? Did it melt and end up all over the inside of the box? Were you able to reconstruct the packing material into something usable?

Blaze

Actually, I'm just about to make the film you requested!
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

Blah, I can't find my cameras battery, so I made about 33 images that tell the story!

Omg!  It's a box!  Oh, and it's addressed to me!

Hrm, it appears that the tape is broken on these three sides... greedy mailmen!  Always trying to steal my stuff!

Oh, they missed a side, yay!

Hrm, looks like they dropped it a couple of times.  Stupid Canada Post... >:(

With my trusty spoon, seen in picture 10/11 I open the box!

Oh, a very nice letter from our very own Mr. iago!  <3

The box was full of shredded paper, of which I plan to piece back together as well as I can!  I'll post again in a couple days if I get someone legible.  :)  There is a spoon in the pile to show a scale of how big the paper was.  The second picture shows the spoon against a CD as a scale for that.  :P

Aha!  Finally something interesting from the box!

One lair of tape off, and I seem no closer to my prize.  Damn you, duct-tape (Just kidding, <3)!

I take off the next lair of duct tape and I'm starting to get worried.  Is that cocoa on the duct tape?  Has the package leaked/died?  The next piece also seems to have the mysterious brown dust all over it.  :(

One more piece of tape off and ... Ugh oh... that's the bottom of the container.  It looks like the contents have been smashed to pieces!  :'(

Ugh, finally got enough tape off to see the insides, and it's a paper ball... also covered in what appears to be cocoa!  :(

I remove the paper ball and to my delight, the balls seem to be nice and safe!  Woot!

Mmm Chocolate! But it appears to have a protection device sticking out of it!

On closer inspection, so does the container, of which I can now clearly see is a plastic cup.  I'm not sure why I didn't notice the now identified "toothpick" sticking out of the cup.  Heh, weird.

That's the one that's sticking out of the edge.  It was stuck in there on both sides, and was a little tricky to get out.

You can see the toothpick going through and see the other side from this view.

That little bump in the middle to the left is the other side of the toothpick trying to break free.

You can now see the two chocolate balls side by side.  They look good!  :D

Om nom nom nom nom!

Om nom nom nom nom!

:)

Woo, they made it! Intact! :D

Now do you suddenly have the urge to join x86? :)

And yeah, my packaging was pretty clever. The reason the box's tape was cut is because I was re-using the box. The only tape that's mine was the duct tape.

I used a plastic cup because it added some rigidity to protect them from being crushed, and I used to toothpicks to hold them in place. There were two layers of duct tape because I didn't want there to be any holes for cocoa to escape.

And finally, that ball of paper inside the cup is parchment paper, just used to hold it all together.

That's my side! :)

Haha, I thought it was easier to blame the postman.  :)

Also, thanks much for the foods!  :)

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

So, I've been sorting out a lot of shredded pieces of paper, and I've got a couple piles that I can almost identify the contents.  I've found what appears to be a signed cheque, a bank number?, pieces of information that is usually obtained when someone gets their drivers license (Did you get your drivers license finally, Ron? :P) and some sort of card that says "Winnipeg" on it, but I haven't dug out the rest of it, or maybe I don't have the rest of it.  Only time will tell!  :)

Btw, this is fun.

Edit:  The drivers license papers appear to be from Alberta!
Edit2: An Alberta interim driver's license at that!

Well, I don't have any signed cheques, so it's not that. I did shred a VOID cheque, though. But it does have my bank account number on it, please don't post that here if you recover it.

And yep, I did shred an interim driver license from Alberta, I got it when I moved there and never got rid of it.

Incidentally, this is pretty good blog material! I wish I was still at Symantec, I'd blog about it. :)
