Get the one that rolls away if you are so worried about it not going far enough.

I personally use two alarm clocks, both of which are really really easy to shut off accidentally. So when I wake up, I know I have to be very careful, which helps a lot.

My main alarm clock seems to have forgotten how to keep track of time. It constantly blinks now, and will gain/lose up to a half hour a day. So the time at which it goes off is fairly random.

iago, have you considered that your alarm clock could just hate you?

Most electronic devices hate me, but we generally have a decent relationship nevertheless. I don't piss them off, they don't piss me off.

From my tests, it seems that the clock ends up ahead more frequently than behind, so at least it wakes me up too early. :)

Maybe it's just jealous that you get to sleep so much.
