Gurps
« on: January 29, 2008, 04:55:07 pm »
A universal RPG system designed by Steve Jackson (The creator of Munchkin) Gurps uses a 3d6 system instead of your normal D20 game. It's built around hackmaster a lot. Yet so far its quite enjoyable we have a great gamemaster, who basically has stretched a paragraph introduction adventure into once a week for the last four months of gaming. Anyone interested a lot of the stuff can be found online and its quite easy to get a character generated and played. Check it out!

I used to play GURPS back in high school when I was a freshman, but our GM was a senior and he graduated.  After that, every replacement GM sucked so much we just quit :'(  I miss GURPS.

Yea, my group is currently playing in a 1920 - 1930's campaign. We have a couple popular culture figures in our game.

We have one person playing Doc Brown the mad scientist.
Another person playing a fraudulent Alan Quartermain.
One's Playing a reporter named Stoned Deaf.
Another is playing a meat head boxer named Crusher O'Brien
Then of course we have my character Patrick O'Connell who is an Irish Mobster.

So far it's been a lot of fun, we're ending our current adventure within the next couple sessions and hopefully starting the next campaign by march. I sort of have a blog site coming up that deals with a lot of our stories along with some audio caption of some of the games. I'll get a link up when i get more stuff added.
